WILKES-BARRE, Pa. (AP) -- A man has been charged in the shooting death of a woman at a northeastern Pennsylvania apartment complex. Investigators say two men were arguing with the victim at about 4:18 p.m. Monday at the Sherman Hills complex when one pulled out a handgun and opened fire at the victim and her vehicle. Shantique Goodson was taken to Wilkes-Barre General Hospital and later flown to Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, where the Luzerne County coroner's office said she died. Police said 21-year-old Kenneth Evans III of Wilkes-Barre was taken into custody several hours after he was declared a person of interest and described as armed and dangerous. Evans was charged with criminal homicide; a listed number for him couldn't be found Tuesday and court documents don't list an attorney for him.
