SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Utah police are investigating a Facebook video that appears to show a young boy driving a semitrailer on a highway.

Authorities are trying to determine if the boy was driving in Utah, said Utah Highway Patrol spokesman Todd Royce. The man could face a variety of charges including child endangerment.

Royce called it an extremely dangerous situation.

In clips of the video posted on KUTV-TV (http://bit.ly/1So7mra ), a young boy can be seen clutching the wheel while the truck moves down a two-lane highway. It's not clear how old the boy is.

At the end of the video, the boy asks the man shooting the video to take the wheel. The man says, "Why, you scared? The boy answers yes."

The video has been removed from Facebook. It was initially posted on the Facebook page of a man whose profile page says he lives in Utah and drives for a company out of Salt Lake City, KUTV reports.

"It's not a smart thing to do," Royce said. "It's, flat-out, a stupid thing to do. To put a child behind the rig of a big-wheel like that is very concerning to us."

The Associated Press tried to reach the man who apparently posted the video on his Facebook account, but he did not immediately return a message. The AP could not verify whether he had a listed telephone number or an attorney.

Authorities also want to know what the truck was carrying. There are additional concerns over someone with a commercial driver's license allowing this to happen.
