BERWICK -- Police had to chase a large black bear out of Berwick Wednesday afternoon after it ambled down Front Street, then fled up a tree in Sponslers Park.

When the bear finally began to move again, our reporter was too far from her car to take shelter, so police told her to get into the back of a patrol car. That meant she got to ride along as the car helped drive the bear into the underbrush in Briar Creek Township.

She captured part of the chase on video, which you can see here.
