FOR A LAUGH: Youth football team can't crash through banner

It was a rough start to the game and season for the Wallkill Mighty Mites. The team charged onto the field for its home opener with plans to break through a banner -- the classic game entrance that we've seen from college and high school teams for decades. Only one problem: The banner was made from vinyl, NESN reports. "The little guys were no match for the vinyl banner, as a massive pileup occurred on the field after the first few players were clotheslined by the too-strong sign," the website reported. Have a look at the video grabbed by a parent in the stands:NESN's take: "Paper banners are clearly the way to go for kids who have yet to finish elementary school, but our hats are off to the parents who didn't think of that. You truly provided a great service to your country for causing this ridiculous display -- and then posting it on YouTube for the world to see." We're not sure it's a service to the country, but it's fun to watch.
