ALBANY, Ga. -- A man looking to buy marijuana texted his probation officer by mistake and is now headed off to jail, according to TV news station WALB. Prosecutors say Alvin Cross Jr.' probation officer received a text from Cross asking, "You have some weed?," the station reported. The probation officer alerted police, who moved quickly to raid his home, where they found a bag of cocaine, according to WALB. Cross pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine and was sentenced to one year in prison, WALB said. He was also sentenced to serve another year for violating his probation.
