ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS The Catawissa Borough will receive sealed bids for Accessibility Improvements, Community Cen-ter, at their offices until 10am prevailing time on Friday, July 22, 2016 at 307 Main Street, Cata-wissa, PA 17820 at which time and place, all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. The work entails the sitework, removal of underground storage tank, doorways and the installation of an accessible restroom. This is a Separate Prime Project with 3 Prime Contracts; General, Plumb-ing, and Electrical. A non-mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at the project site at 9am on July 6. The Bidder shall include the fully completed Non-Collusion Affidavit with the bid. In addition to the Equal Employment requirements of Executive Order 11246 regarding discrimi-nation, the CONTRACTOR must establish a 3% goal for female participation and a 5% goal for minority participation in his aggregate on-site construction work force for contracts in excess of $10,000. Section 3 requires that the CONTRACTOR must utilize, to the greatest extent feasible, local area businesses, trainees, employees, and low-moderate income persons within the gen-eral trade area. The bidders/offerors must submit documentary evidence of minority and women business enterprises who have been contacted and to whom commitments have been made. Documentation of such solicitations and commitments shall be submitted concurrently with the bid. In accordance with Executive Orders 11625, 12138, and Columbia County's MBE plan, the CONTRACTOR must utilize, to the greatest extent feasible, minority and/or women owned busi-ness concerns.
