HEARING NOTICE Notice is hereby given that the Joint Zoning Hearing Board of Mahoning and Cooper Townships, Montour County, Pennsylvania will hold a public hearing on January 8, 2026, at 5:30 pm at the Mahoning Township Municipal Building, 849 Bloom Road, Danville, Pennsylvania. The purpose of the hearing is a continuation of a prior hearing on December 9, 2025, to take additional testimony and possibly take action upon an appeal filed by Kristin Mikita Pfleegor from a July 24, 2025 determination of the Cooper Township Zoning Officer denying an application for a zoning permit to Scott Fought. The Appellant contends the zoning officer committed an error in denying the zoning permit application solely on the grounds of stormwater and/or land development approval being required because the proposed use of the property located at 1078 Grovania Drive, Tax Parcel Number 2-42-222 for a trash transfer station and related facilities is not permitted under the zoning ordinance. The appeal is submitted pursuant to Section 250-77.A.(1). of the Mahoning/Cooper Township Zoning Ordinance. PUBLIC NOTICE At their public meeting to be held on January 5, 2026, beginning at 5:30 p.m., in the Locust Township Municipal Building, 1223A Numidia Drive, Catawissa, Pennsylvania, the Locust Township Supervisors will hold a hearing and consider for adoption an Ordinance of Locust Township, Columbia County, Pennsylvania, Adding Section 1029 to the Locust Township Zoning Ordinance Regarding Uses Not Provided For as Special Exceptions. The Ordinance indicates that uses not provided for in the Zoning Ordinance shall be treated as special exceptions and evaluated for appropriateness and compatibility by the Zoning Hearing Board.
