FINAL NOTICE Columbia County intends to submit an application to the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) in the amount of $235,236 for the use of Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) 2016 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds. The proposed project activities to be included as a part of the application are as follows: Locust Township Removal of Architectural Barriers, Benton Borough Street Improvements, Catawissa Borough Street Improvements, Fisherdale School Restoration, Roaring Creek Meeting House Rehabilitation, and Administration. The Columbia County Commissioners are also considering a budget modification to their Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) 2014 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. The proposed modification will take funds from the Jackson Township Street Improvements project and rebudget them into the Fisherdale School Restoration project. A Public Hearing to review the proposed use of funds and the budget modification will be held on October 5, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Columbia County Redevelopment Authority, 700 Sawmill Road, Suite 101, Bloomsburg, PA. The Columbia County Commissioners intend to formally ratify the application and approve the budget modification at their regular meeting on October 6, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the 9-1-1 Annex Building. Written public comments are invited until 10:00 a.m. October 5, 2016 on the proposed use of FFY 2016 CDBG funds and the budget modification.
