BIDNOTICE Sealed proposals for Stadium Renovations / Improvements will be received by the Northwest Area School District at the Administration Office, 243 Thorne Hill Road, Shickshinny, PA,18655 on Thursday, March 15, 2018, at 1:00 p.m., prevailing time, at which time and place all proposals received will be publicly opened and read immediately. Landscape Architect: Turf, Track & Court, LLC 10 Briarcrest Square Hershey, PA 17033 Phone: (717) 312-3012 E-Mail: Project consists of Stadium renovations and improvements including new 400-meter synthetic surfaced running track, new synthetic surfaced athletic field, new bleacher / pressbox structure, electric service upgrades and stadium lighting, new entrance plaza, spectator accessways and associated fencing. Questions regarding the bid documents shall be directed to the Landscape Architect. Bidding Documents will be available from the Landscape Architect to prime bidding contractors for a non-refundable fee of $335.00 + postage for printed and $75.00 for electronic. Documents are available for purchase from the Landscape Architect. A pre-bid conference is scheduled for Wednesday, February 28, 2018, 1:00 pm at the District Administration Office, 243 Thorne Hill Road, Shickshinny, PA,18655. All sealed proposals shall be submitted to Barry Shoemaker, Facilities Manager, one (1) original and two (2) copies in an envelope clearly marked on the outside with the name of the Bidder and “Sealed Bid for Stadium Renovations / Improvements Project”. Proposal shall be mailed or delivered to Owner and received not later than time as stated above. Oral, telephonic (facsimile, e-mail, or telex), or telegraphic bids are invalid and will not receive consideration. All proposals shall be irrevocable for sixty (60) days after bid opening date, unless delayed due to required approvals of another governmental agency, in which case bids shall be irrevocable for one hundred twenty (120) days in compliance with Pennsylvania Act #317 of 1978, approved November 26, 1978, and as amended December 12, 1994, and shall be accompanied by 10% bid guarantee, payable to the Owner. This project is subject to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Labor and Industry’s Prevailing Wage Determination and applicable provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, the Act of August 15, 1961, P.L. 987, as amended and supplemented, and appropriate prevailing minimum rate as promulgated under provisions of said Act must be paid by contractors in connection with performance of the necessary work. Notice is also given that the project for which construction bids are being received is subject to the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act, the Act of October 27, 1955, P.L. 744, as amended and supplemented. LEGAL NOTICE NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Borough Council of Washingtonville Borough shall, at a regularly scheduled Meeting on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at 6:30 P.M. at the DeLong Memorial Hall, Montour County, Washingtonville, Pennsylvania, take under advisement and vote to enact or deny the following Ordinance: AN ORDINANCE OF WASHINGTONVILLE BOROUGH, MONTOUR COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, TO AMEND ORDINANCE 2 OF 2015 AS FOLLOWS: Section 106.3 Prosecution of Violation. Any person who has violated the provisions of this Ordinance, shall, upon being found guilty thereof by the Magisterial District Judge in a criminal/non traffic enforcement proceeding commenced by Washingtonville Borough shall pay a fine of not more than three hundred dollars($300.00) and or be sentenced to thirty(30) days incarceration together with all court costs and fees as well as reasonable attorney fees incurred in connection with the investigation and prosecution of the violation hereof. Each day that a violation continues after notice to the person violating this Ordinance shall constitute a separate and distinct violation of the Ordinance. Section 302.4 Weeds: All premises and exterior property shall limit weed and grass growth in accordance with Borough of Washingtonville Ordinance No. 01-2010.
