BERWICK — Police are looking for a pregnant teen and her 32-year-old boyfriend, whom they believe were making methamphetamine at a house on Susquehanna Avenue.

John Litchard  and Tyia Starr, 19, had been kicked out of the house at 615 Susquehanna Ave., other occupants told officers.

The home’s owner told officers she had gone to the house Monday to inspect it prior to selling the property, according to court papers.

In a second-story bedroom, she found tubing, baggies, syringes and other items she believed to be drug paraphernalia. She called in police, who spotted similar items, according to a search warrant.

The homeowner said she had learned about a week earlier that Litchard and Starr were staying there as guests the house’s occupants, Santos and Ann Lorenzo, and had told the Lorenzos their friends needed to leave.

Now police are looking for Litchard and Starr. Berwick Police Chief Ken Strish asked anyone who knows where Litchard or Starr may be to contact the Columbia County Communications Center at 570-784-6300.

We'll have much more on the case in Wednesday's Press Enterprise.
