Police seek driver who allegedly ran man down

BERWICK -- Police are looking for James "Coke" Kemp, 31, of New York, who they believe deliberately struck a man at the intersection of Susquehanna Avenue and Ida Street here Monday. William Humphries was flown to Geisinger Medical Center with severe injuries after the accident at 2:23 p.m., police said. Witnesses recognized Kemp, who was driving a white Hyundai Elantra with military stickers on the rear window. The car was found abandoned on the 1000 block of West Front Street. Officers believe Kemp is still in the area. Anyone with information about Kemp's whereabouts is asked to call 9-1-1.
