RESILIENCY OFFICER for County of Columbia The successful candidate will monitor, coordinate and implement strategy, policy, and resources to for Columbia Countys Flood Protection system. This person will also, but not limited to, be responsible for: *Administer the day to day aspects of the Columbia County Water Mitigation Authority. *Administer the Countys Liquid Fuels program. *Maintain a minimum certification from FEMA/PEMA, or other agencies authorized to provide training on related topics. *Maintain certification in the Countys Dirt and gravel road program. *Oversee the Countys MS4 program. *Oversee the annual maintenance and update of the Countywide Hazard Mitigation Plan. *Assist the EMA Office with the ESF-14 function long term community recovery and mitigation, after an event. Qualifications: *Bachelors Degree in public administration along with five years of field experience; or, any equivalent education and/or field experience will be considered; *Must have the ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures or governmental regulations; apply for grants, write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals; effectively present information and respond to questions or complaints from regulatory agencies or members of the community; *Must be able to handle all aspects of Project Management including, but not limited to, the ability to organize, plan, lead, communicate, trouble shoot and meet deadlines. *Must be efficient in all Microsoft Office programs.
