The Williamsport Area School District is currently accepting applications for the position of HEAD VARSITY FOOTBALL COACH The Head Varsity Football Coach is responsible for the overall leadership and direction of the entire interscholastic football program (grades 712). The successful candidate will provide discipline, commitment, structure, and organization for all levels of the program. This position requires the ability to work effectively with a diverse group of student-athletes while promoting strong academic standards, leadership, sportsmanship, and citizenship. Previous head coaching experience is preferred. The successful candidate will be asked to assume the duties of the position as soon as possible. CATAWISSA BOROUGH FULL-TIME POLICE OFFICER Qualified persons are invited to apply to the Borough of Catawissa Civil Service Commission to take competitive examinations leading to eligibility for appointment as a Full-Time Patrolman for the Catawissa Police Department. General Requirements: Candidates, at the time of application must: (1) Possess a diploma from an accredited high school or a graduate equivalency diploma (GED); (2) Be Act 120 Certified under the Municipal Police Officers Education and Training Act (Act 120), or shall have successfully completed Act 120 Training and successfully passed the final exam, thus being eligible for Act 120 Certification once hired by the Borough; (3) Be a United States Citizen; (4) Be physically and mentally fit to perform the full duties of a police officer; (5) Be at least twenty-one (21) years of age; and (6) Possess valid motor vehicle license and be eligible to legally operate a motor vehicle in Pennsylvania. Successful applicants must also meet all the requirements of the Boroughs Civil Service Rules and Regulations (that will include a background investigation and if selected, be required to successfully pass a physical and psychological examination.)
