HILLTOWN – A former Pennridge PTO official faces nearly a dozen felony charges for allegedly forging organization checks made out to herself and her boyfriend totaling more than $20,000.
It is not the first time she has been accused of stealing money, according to court records. She was convicted in 2011 of embezzling more than $400,000 from her employer.

CHICAGO – Police in a Chicago suburb are searching for a man suspected of stabbing a woman and a young girl, identified by local media as his sisters.
The Streamwood Police Department identified 25-year-old Jalonie Jenkins as the suspect involved in the killing of a 21-year-old woman and a 10-year-old girl in Streamwood, Illinois, on Wednesday evening, May 28.
Jenkins' last known location was in Bensenville, a suburb near the Chicago O'Hare International Airport, police said.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Trump administration said on Wednesday it has agreed to end the U.S. Transportation Department's consideration of race or gender when awarding billions of dollars in federal highway and transit project funding set aside for disadvantaged small businesses.
A judge in September in Kentucky ruled that a federal program enacted in 1983 that treats businesses owned by racial minorities and women as presumptively disadvantaged and eligible for such funding violated the U.S. Constitution's equal protection guarantees.
PINEVILLE, KENTUCKY – A black bear was found sitting on the stove of kitchen after crashing through the ceiling of a home in Kentucky.
In a post on Facebook, Kentucky Fish and Wildlife Law Enforcement said authorities responded to a call for a black bear at a residence in Bell County around 5 a.m. on May 21.
Officers arrived at the scene to find the bear sitting on the stove in the kitchen.

JACKSON, TENNESSEE – Two people died and nearly 40 people were injured in a Greyhound bus crash on a western Tennessee highway, according to first responders.
Lt. Christopher Hosick of the Tennessee Highway Patrol confirmed the two deaths in a statement on May 27.
"The collision involved a passenger vehicle and a large passenger bus," Hosick wrote in an email. "I can confirm two fatalities and multiple others with injuries. The investigation is still ongoing."
