To place an obituary in the Press Enterprise newspaper in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, please send it to obituaries@pressenterprise.net. Depending whether you’re representing a funeral home or a private party, there will be different information we need from you.
1.) If you represent a funeral home: Include obituary text, any photos you’d like printed with the obituary and your contact information. We will bill you for the obituary cost.
2.) If you are a private party (like a family member): Include obituary text, any photos you’d like printed with the obituary and your contact information PLUS please provide contact information for the funeral home or crematorium that is handling the death so we can confirm the death. Alternatively, we will accept a copy of the death certificate. We will contact you with the cost of the obituary. As soon as it is paid, we can run it in the next day’s paper.
Photos: Please send JPG photos, preferably in color.
Deadline: Our deadline to have an obituary printed in the next day’s paper is 8 p.m. We print seven day a week. For private parties, payment information must also be received before the obituary is printed.
Rates: Our obituary rates begin at $178 for the first 6 inches, which fits most obituaries including the photo. Longer obituaries are charged at an additional $5.12 a line.
