What we're working on for April 6

Here's a look at some of the stories keeping our reporters and photographers busy Friday:
* A man who had just dropped a woman off worries that her boyfriend is following him. In an attempt to get away, he hits speeds of up to 80 mph in a 35-mph zone, which draws the attention of officers on patrol, police say. Reporter Julye Wemple will tell you the tale of the wild chase that followed.
* Frustrated pedestrians may soon have some help crossing streets in Bloomsburg. See what the town plans to install to help make things safer.
* Angry that his girlfriend did not come to pick him up at a bar, a man beats her when he gets home, police say. Read what the young woman had to say about the incident.
* A man who supposedly sucker-punched another man is in court Friday telling a much different story than his accusers. Senior reporter Leon Bogdan will fill you in.
* A school board candidate who neglected to file financial statements is off the ballot for May.
* Plus, a woman who hailed from the area parlays her skills as a mechanic into a spot on the nationally televised TV show "All Girls Garage." Reporter Vanessa Pellechio has more on the story.
