What we're working on for April 11

Here's a look at what is keeping our reporters and photographers busy Wednesday: * A man who police say was drunk and disorderly downtown tries a unique defense - freedom of speech. "You can't be arrested for trash-talking the police," he argues. * An ex-cop faces serious assault charges in a road-rage incident, but he says the other man, who ended up with a bloodied face, is the one who was determined to fight. Senior reporter Leon Bogdan has the story. * Have you noticed the scarves and blankets decorating streetlights, meter posts and trees near Main and Center streets in Bloomsburg? Reporter Pete Kendron has the story behind them. * A judge dropped domestic violence charges against an ex-Marine when his wife failed to show for a court date after claiming he beat her because her coughing was keeping him up. Further trouble could end with both man and woman in cuffs, the judge warned. Kristin Baver will tell you all about the hearing. Look for these stories and more in Thursday's edition of the Press Enterprise.
