What we're working on for Dec. 1

Here's a look at what we're working on for Saturday's edition:
* A dispute between two migrant workers on a Christmas tree farm turns ugly. One man is slashed in the abdomen with a knife and in the hospital. The other is charged with attempted murder.
* Bloomsburg Police fielded an unusual call Tuesday: Someone on Lighstreet Road apparently used the season's first snowfall to build a 3-foot-tall phallus from the freshly-fallen powder. The display had a short lifespan.
* In Berwick, volunteers are out putting finishing touches on displays for this year's Christmas Boulevard. The annual spectacle opens Saturday night.
* "O'Brien's Lions" may have proved a catchy phrase for shirts and car magnets, but Penn State football fans were buying less Nittany Lions gear this fall.
