John Gallagher paints the bottom of the Ber-Vaughn Pool Monday. Volunteers are about a week behind schedule because rain prevented them from painting last week. The pool's annual carnival opens 4:30 p.m. Tuesday and runs each evening through Saturday in the parking lot next to the pool.
