Here's a look at the stories that are keeping our reporters busy Wednesday:
* A little bear cub on a ledge attracts attention from onlookers -- and one would-be good Samaritan -- along a busy road. See our breaking report and look for more tomorrow from reporter Pete Kendron and photographer Bill Hughes.
* A dog was abandoned at a local car wash, left tied to a post with a note. Now police are tracking the derelict owner. Leon Bogdan has this early report. Look for more in Thursday's edition.
* A local government worker is charged with stealing $20G in scrap metal. Chris Krepich is on the story.
* Meth suspects step before a judge today to face sentencing. Reporter Kristin Baver will tell you what the court metes out.
* The owners of two homes that were destroyed by fire this winter are rebuilding. Peter Kendron talks with them about the road back.
* Plus, the Benton school board expects to pass a budget tonight. Will there be layoffs? Reporter Michael Lester will be there to find out.
Look for these stories and more in Thursday's edition of the Press Enterprise.
