Here's a look at the stories that are keeping our reporters busy Monday:
* A man couldn't get the mother of his child to respond to phone messages or knocks to the door, so he scaled a wall and went inside through a window, police say.
* Accused shoplifters try to get away from Wal-Mart security -- by speeding through the parking lot in reverse.
* Teachers will attend a local school board meeting tonight in hopes of getting a contract. Will the strike be settled? We'll have a reporter there.
* A woman trashed her ex-boyfriend's home here, and now the judge has issued a protect-from-abuse order, according to court records.
* Three strangers turned up at a man's backyard table with drugs and pills one afternoon, and they were still there when police arrived, court papers say.
Look for these stories and more in tomorrow's edition of the Press Enterprise.
