T-Ross Brothers says ‘We Built Central PA’
MONTANDON -- On any given day, at any given time, chances are there is a T-Ross Brothers Construction truck in the lane next to you, or you notice a sign along the road at one of their job sites. "We Built Central PA" is not just a tag line or slogan found on their website. T-Ross Brothers has built many of the area's finest facilities and residences and offers construction services including commercial, industrial, design-build and residential homes and additions. Since purchasing the family business in 1996, Todd and Tom Ross have dedicated their lives to striving for excellence in every project in which they are engaged. Todd and Tom believe that "Team Work" has been the strength that has enabled T-Ross Brothers Construction Inc. to grow and continue to prosper. Working on the foundational belief that a successful business is a team effort and that the success must start at the top, Todd and Tom Ross lead by example. They know current business practices, the current market, what equipment is available and how to use it. Their involvement in all facets of their business creates a professional operation with professional results. Tom and Todd Ross are widely known throughout the Central Pennsylvania region for their dedication to family, business and community. Their generous nature within the community sets them apart and keeps them exceeding the expectations of those they engage with at the community and business levels. From donations for Camp Cadet with the Pennsylvania State Police to sponsoring events for the Central PA Chamber of Commerce or volunteering to assist the churches where they worship with their families, Todd and Tom Ross believe in not just doing business but being a part of the communities in which they do business. In March 2013, when a six-alarm fire destroyed the offices, main warehouse and all of the inventory at Keller Marine, it was T-Ross Brothers Construction that was called upon to rebuild the business which has been in Port Trevorton since 1958. Time was of the essence to the Keller family to keep their business going and wholesale marine and RV orders flowing. T-Ross expeditiously erected a temporary warehouse to house their boat and recreational vehicle accessories. A design-build team was assembled to work with the Kellers to design their new offices and warehouse, and another chapter of the Keller/T-Ross relationship had begun. The history between T-Ross and the Kellers goes back a long way, with T-Ross Brothers and their father, Thomas Ross, building the Keller family's homes and business structures. So, it only made sense that T-Ross would be the contractor of choice to build the new, 20,000-square-foot warehouse on the site where the old one burned down. The Keller family is very active in the Port Trevorton community and at their church, Mount Hope. The Ross family is known for its involvement in a plethora of community and church projects. As local business owners, the Keller and Ross families bring a personal, caring nature to every business transaction and every employee. Both family businesses started in 1958, with Thomas Ross and George Keller embarking on a journey of tradition of commitment and quality service which is carried on through the next generation. This journey continued as 2013 turned into 2014, and T-Ross Brothers Construction sets its sights on many exciting projects. In addition to the Keller Marine project, T-Ross looks forward to another year of innovative and challenging projects. 2013 was an incredible year of growth. It was a year of getting reacquainted with customers from the past that came to T-Ross to once again deliver the quality and service that only T-Ross can bring to a project. It was also a year to be in the middle of exciting projects that cooperatively engaged the T-Ross team in partnership with various government, community, real estate, health care, financial and church organizations. Last year, the T-Ross team helped cut the ribbon on The Well at Christ Wesleyan Church in Milton. Designed and constructed by T-Ross Brothers Construction, this 27,000-square-foot addition features a coffee house, gym, fitness center, children's jungle gym, bookstore and cafe and provides local residents and church members with options for recreational and social activities that were previously unavailable in the region. T-Ross also completed Lewistown's brand-new apartment building for the elderly, Mann Edge Terrace. This project was a community effort in every sense, being built on the same "brownfields" site where Mann Edge Tool Company forged tools from 1895 to 2003. T-Ross successfully and respectfully navigated the sensitive dynamics of working with a diverse group of business and community partners: Mifflin County Industrial Development Corporation, SEDA-COG Housing Development Corporation, Juniata Valley Bank, Lewistown Borough Council and Mifflin County Commissioners. The Danville area's newest upscale residential community, Jacob's Landing, is another T-Ross project that came to fruition in 2013. Situated just upstream of the site of the historic ferryboat operated by Jacob Gearhart, Jacob's Landing provides luxury Riverfront, Riverview and Brownstone townhomes for those who wish to live with views of the Susquehanna River. Graciously-appointed residences combine elegant colonial architectural exteriors with modern functionality. Last year was also a year for T-Ross to continue to grow its custom home, design-build service area. Dave Gessner joined the team as a Residential On-Site Project Manager. Dave's presence has greatly enhanced T-Ross's ability to foster consistent satisfaction with homeowners as the design build process moves forward from breaking ground to the last walk-through. Distinctive new homes were built in Lewisburg, Watsontown, Danville, Bloomsburg and Selinsgrove, along with other additions and renovation projects. T-Ross specializes in the same design-build process that was utilized in the Keller project, which begins with a team of construction professionals representing all aspects of your project sitting together from the beginning to develop a coordinated and seamless approach to meet your goals. The architect and design specialist, along with the contractor and owner, work together conceptualizing and customizing the owner's vision. Under the leadership of brothers Todd and Tom, T-Ross Brothers Construction has become known for quality craftsmanship and personal service that comes with a family history behind every decision. Both Ross brothers approach each project they undertake with enthusiasm and compassion. And that's the same way they approach life.
