Susquehanna Valley Diagnostic Imaging has convenient hours

SOUTH CENTRE TWP. --Susquehanna Valley Diagnostic Imaging (SVDI) opened for business in November 2011. Located on the Susquehanna Valley Healthcare Complex (Bloomsburg) in the lower level of the Stanley Center, their brand-new facility proudly offers MRI/MRA, CT scan, ultrasound, mammography, bone densitometry (Dexa) and digital X-ray capabilities. The imaging center is a culmination of many years of planning and makes it very convenient for patients receiving care at the complex to have their studies done on site. Dr. Steven Rinehouse is the staff radiologist. He completed his radiology residency at the Baylor College of Medicine and is board certified in his specialty by the American Board of Radiology. The radiologist is surrounded by a highly-competent support staff including Wanna Whitesell, RT(R)(CT) (BD), the site manager, who comes with extensive experience, having managed other imaging centers in the region. The mammography tech is Carol Hankinson, RT(R) (M), who brings 20-plus years of experience to her position. Ultrasound and bone density studies are completed by Cynthia Foust, ARDMS, RVT; Megan Yachimowski; and Allison Stemko, who has 15 years of experience, holds a bachelor's degree in radiologic technology from Bloomsburg University and is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania's MRI program. Rounding out the support staff are X-ray techs Carrie Littlewood, CRT, and Amanda Crone, RT. The front desk receptionist for the center is Janette Cornwall. The facility has been open for more than three years and the staff is very proud it has maintained ACR (American College of Radiology) accreditation for MRI, CT scan, ultrasound and mammography. ACR is a Medicare-required credential and is awarded to centers who perform to its very high standards. As a freestanding diagnostic imaging center, SVDI is a preferred site for many local insurance plans and offers unbeatable self-pay rates. It also has very convenient hours, with early morning, evening and weekend availability. They look forward to providing state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging to patients in the region for many years to come and welcome physicians and patients to stop by and tour the new facility.
