Two roads are being closed so workers can fix drain pipes, officials said.

In Locust Township, Picnic Grove Road between Ringtown Mountain Road and Dragstrip Road will be closed from about 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and Thursday while township workers replace drain pipes, police there announced.

Residents will be able to get to their homes, but no through traffic will be allowed, they said.

Meanwhile, in Elysburg,  Penn Avenue here will be closed from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday as PennDOT workers make an emergency repair to a pipe.

A detour will use Bottle Road, Route 487 and Route 54, said spokesman Dave Thompson.
