Alleged killer too drugged to confess, defense says
BLOOMSBURG -- An accused killer was too drugged up to confess to shooting his live-in girlfriend, his lawyer says. Now the attorney is asking the man's statement be kept out of his trial.
But the two troopers who interviewed Abe Kline after he allegedly shot Jocelyn Romano at a farm north of Benton said he appeared alert and calm while giving his hospital-bed confession.

Woman killed in fall onto I-80 in eastern Pa.
BARTONSVILLE, Pa. (AP) -- Authorities say a woman was killed when she fell from a bridge onto the berm of an eastern Pennsylvania interstate.
The Pocono Record (http://bit.ly/YDqUhn ) says a driver found 46-year-old Linda Serrano of East Stroudsburg near the guardrail of I-80 West in Bartonsville just before midnight Saturday.
Monroe County Coroner Bob Allen said Serrano was conscious when she was taken to Pocono Medical Center.
Man, 3 teens shot outside Philly store
PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Police say three teenagers and a man were injured by gunfire from a car as they were standing outside a corner store in north Philadelphia.
A police spokeswoman says the four were on a street in the East Germantown section of the city at about 8:30 p.m. Saturday when a sedan pulled up to a stop sign.
Police said someone in the car opened fire from the passenger side of the vehicle, which then fled south.
Investigators said a 20-year-old man and teenagers aged 15, 16 and 17 were hit in the shoulder, buttocks and legs.
