<p>Here are some sobering statistics as we approach the 71st observance of “Remember Pearl Harbor,” December 7, 2012.</p>
<p>Egads, it’s awful when you’re wrong. Went to the Briar Creek Giant store to pick up a few items. Met with Brad, a manager at Giant, who read my letter about bread prices.

<p>Drat! I’m bummed — saddened by the news that the Hostess company, home of the Twinkie and other venerable sugary snacks, is shutting down.</p>
