Fire breaks out on West Street
UPDATED 9 P.M.
BLOOMSBURG -- Two men used a ladder to rescue a woman trapped on the second floor of her burning apartment building Friday.
The woman nearly fell, getting tangled in wires, they said.
But with help, she made it safely to the ground as the apartment next to hers was gutted by flames.
The blaze erupted just before 2:30 p.m. in the rear second-floor apartment at 250 West St., a building owned by Bob and Sherry Aungst.
