PUBLIC NOTICE NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hunlock Sand & Gravel Company plans to conduct blasting operations at the expanded areas of their sand and gravel pit according to the following schedule: Monday thru Saturday inclusive between the hours of 8:00a.m. to 5:00p.m. The above schedule is applicable to the tract of land lies southwest of the current sand pit operation. Blasting at other than the above times shall only be in an emergency situation as approved by the regulatory authority. These emergency situations shall include but not be limited to: weather conditions such as fog, heavy rain, snow storms, lightning storms, low cloud cover, thermal inversions, etc., mechanical and/or electrical failure such as to vehicles, charging equipment, or blasting machines, and any dangerous conditions to company personnel, private individuals, equipment, etc. Access to the blasting area will be controlled by a flagman guarding the access road to the blast area. There will be signs posted at the entrance to the pit to control access to the blasting area. There will be (3) ten (10) second signals five (5) minutes before detonation, and short pulsing signals one (1) minute before detonation. An all clear signal of one (1) prolonged twenty (20) second signal will be given after detonation.
