Fire breaks out in laundromat
RIVERSIDE -- The roof of the Riverside Laundromat and Tanning Salon caught fire when it was struck by lighting during Wednesday's storm, a fire chief said.
Firefighters kept damage from the flames to just the roof, but the blaze still caused about $15,000 in damage, said Riverside Deputy Fire Chief Nick Fowler.
Lighting struck the building around 5:45 p.m. at the tail end of a thunderstorm that swept through the area.
