Cops: Ex-player attacks HS football coach in his Pa. home

PITTSBURGH (AP) -- A western Pennsylvania man who played high school football decades ago charged into his former coach's house and attacked him, biting him on his ears and face and choking him, authorities said. Joseph Koscinski, 38, beat on the door of the coach's home and then forced his way in about 4 p.m. Sunday, when he began biting him "in the ear, face and head area, and choking him," said Sharon police Chief Mike Menster.

Fla. murder suspect posted Facebook photo of wife's body

SOUTH MIAMI, Fla. (AP) -- A South Florida man who authorities say fatally shot his wife -- and apparently then posted a photo of her body on Facebook -- was charged with first-degree murder Thursday night after turning himself in. Miami-Dade police said in an arrest affidavit that Derek Medina, 31, said he shot Jennifer Alfonso, 26, at their South Miami home after she said she was "leaving him." When officers responded to the home, they found Alfonso's body, as well as her 10-year-old daughter, who was unharmed.
