The bag turns out to contain ingredients for making meth. * A Wilburton man allegedly steals a car in Coal Township and leads police on a chase. Along for the ride were his girlfriend and her nine-month-old baby, who was unrestrained in a seat, police say.

What we're working on for Dec. 12

Here's a look at what we're working on for Wednesday's edition: * A Berwick-area man stands trial on charges that he forced children under his girlfriend's care to strip down and simulate sexual acts. * Some Geisinger patients are offended by recent letters they received letting them know they are obese and suggesting they visit a physician. * A Danville man's behavior at the Buckhorn Walmart store gets him banned -- not just here, but from Walmart stores across the country.

Here's a look at the stories we're working on for Tuesday: * Police and animal control officers are gathered again at the home of a man who was convicted of dog hoarding this summer, when officials found nearly 200 Chihuahuas in his home. Story is unfolding. * A reporter speaks with the aunt of an infant who went missing during a Berwick meth bust last week. Now that the little girl has been found -- and her parents are in jail -- the aunt plans to take the child in.

Here's what we're working on for Monday's paper: * It took days for a Danville boy to create a seven-minute clay-animation film. Now, his work is winning awards. * Berwick's Council President Jeri Alley resigned from her position after strife between her and other council members over a payout to an employee. * Catawissa Police say they had to shoot a drunken state trooper from Berks County four times with a Taser, after he spouted expletives, refused to answer questions and put up a fight as they tried to question his wife during a traffic stop.

They're offering those with fair fans on their list the option of buying admission tickets online and printing them out on their home computer to use as stocking stuffers.

Here's a look at what we're working on for Saturday's edition: * Authorities continue searching for an infant who went missing from a suspected meth house that police busted in Berwick Thursday. * A white supremacist serving time in the Columbia County jail fashions a plastic toothbrush into a shank and tries to stab a fellow inmate before a guard breaks things up. * A BU student starts a stove fire that summons university police. The culinary culprit: pot brownies left to cook while he watched a movie, police say.

Here's a look at the stories we're working on for Friday's edition: * The Autoneum auto carpet plant in Bloomsburg lands a big award from Toyota. The plant makes floor mats for some Toyota and Lexus models. * The mom of Bloomsburg teen Skylar Moodie appeals for the public's help in finding her son.
