The other is charged with attempted murder. * Bloomsburg Police fielded an unusual call Tuesday: Someone on Lighstreet Road apparently used the season's first snowfall to build a 3-foot-tall phallus from the freshly-fallen powder. The display had a short lifespan.

What we're working on for Nov. 30

Here's a look at the local stories we're working on for Friday's edition: * A Bloomsburg man convicted of sexually assaulting a woman he met at a bar says the charge cost him his job, his house and his life. He's headed off to prison. * A mother and grandmother say they planned to steal only a birthday cake from Walmart, but they got carried away and made off with $866 in merchandise. A security guard fingered the two as crooks on their exit. * The Berwick Retirement Village beefs up security of patient records after an office worker is accused of stealing thousands of dollars.

What we're working on for Nov. 28

Here's a look at some of the stories we're working on for Wednesday's edition ... * In Bloomsburg: A man's admitted "hatred" of Press Enterprise Editor Jim Sachetti allegedly drove him to send scads of emails and make phone calls that "menaced" Sachetti and family members. Now police have issued a citation. * In Berwick: A spooked dog darted out of a wrecked van on Front Street late Monday night and hid in a nearby parking lot. But a family managed to coax the pooch out from under a car, and they're caring for the canine until they can reunite it with its owners.
