Guns, 1,000+ rounds found in Newtown gunman's home

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) -- An arsenal of weapons including four guns, more than a thousand rounds of ammunition, a bayonet and several swords was found in the home of the gunman who carried out the Newtown school shooting, according to search warrants released Thursday. Investigators also found books about autism and Asperger's syndrome as well as an NRA guide to pistol shooting. Another book found at the home with tabbed pages is titled: "Train Your Brain to Get Happy."

Man's car ends up on neighbor's roof

GLENDALE, Calif. (AP) -- A Southern California man's car ended up on his neighbor's roof in an unusual accident over the weekend. Glendale police Sgt. Sean Riley tells City News Service that the driver lost control Saturday afternoon on a driveway in an area where homes are arrayed on a steep hillside. The vehicle ended up on the roof of the next house down the hill. Riley says the driver reported he had a mechanical failure. The driver, his wife and the resident of the neighboring home were unharmed. A crane was brought in to lift the car from the roof, which had minor damage.

Philly police post YouTube video of store shooting

PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Philadelphia police are trying to find a man who fired into an Asian food store and wounded three people by releasing surveillance video of the crime on YouTube. The video, which features images from inside the store as well as from a camera outside, shows a man clad in grey sweat pants and shirt walking up to the Chinese Food store Tuesday night and firing a shot through the glass front door as several young men scramble to hold the door shut.
